How to register

Online registration has now closed. Should you still wish to register, please download a hard copy registration form and bring it with you onsite. Please complete one form per delegate.
The Registration Desk is located on the level 1 foyer of the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre and will be open during the following times:

Monday 3rd October 2011.......... 1130 - 2030
Tuesday 4th October 2011 ........ 0800 - 1600
Wednesday 5th October 2011.... 0830 - 1600
Thursday 6th October 2011........ 0900 – 1430

Payment can be made by cash, major credit card or company cheque. Electronic Funds Transfer is not available. Registrations will not be processed until full payment has been received. 

Cheques or international money orders should be made payable to arinex pty limited on behalf of the World Summit and sent to the address at the bottom of this page. When completing the cheque or money order please write your name and address on the back. Cheques must be received within 30 days of registration otherwise your registration will be cancelled. Payment by cheque will only be accepted until 26 August 2011. After this date, all registration and accommodation requests must be submitted with credit card details.

Please note that all persons planning to attend the Summit must register, including speakers and chairpersons. Please read through the information below before you complete your registration.

Registration fees for delegates include the Opening Ceremony; three days' Summit catering; Summit materials; the Official Dinner; and a ticket to one of Melbourne Festival’s preview events.

The Opening Ceremony will take place on Monday 3 October.
The Official Dinner will be on Wednesday 5 October.
Back to Back Theatre (Melbourne Festival preview 1) will be on Tuesday 4 October.
Chunky Move and Victorian Opera (Melbourne Festival preview 2) will take place on Thursday 6 October.

The registration fee does not include costs of travel to Melbourne, Australia; accommodation; breakfast; bank administration fees; visa fees or travel insurance.

All travellers to Australia, other than Australian and New Zealand passport holders, are legally required to hold a valid visa. It is advisable to apply for your visa as soon as possible to ensure adequate time for processing.  The minimum time frame stated for an Australian visa application is six (6) weeks. For information on visas for visiting Australia, see the Department of Immigration and Citizenship website.

Cancellations received in writing by the Summit Managers on or before 5 August 2011 will be accepted and all fees refunded less an AUD100.00 administrative fee.  After this date cancellations cannot be accepted and will not be refunded. However, transfer of your registration to another person is acceptable. The full name and details of the person that will replace you must be advised in writing to arinex pty limited by Friday 23 September 2011

To summarise the cancellation of registration fees:
• On or before 5 August 2011 will incur a AUD100.00 cancellation fee.
• After 6 August 2011 there will be no refund.

No refunds will be made for non-attendance at the 5th World Summit on Arts and Culture.

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that at the time you register for the Summit and book your travel you take out an insurance policy.

The policy should include loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the Summit, or through cancellation of the Summit, loss of international/domestic airfares through cancellation for any reason including airline or related services strikes within Australia, Force Majeure or any other reason, medical expenses (including sickness and accident cover), loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered.

The Summit Managers cannot take any responsibility for any participant failing to arrange their own insurance. This insurance is to be purchased in your country of origin.
